Nurseries are becoming more hip as moms move beyond pink and blue bunnies. Many new parents choose to have a mural painted on one nursery wall as a focal point. Using an overhead projector and a favorite children's book, parents can create beautiful decor for their little ones. The baby's outfits can be changed easily as she grows.
Parents have more freedom than ever to decorate their babies' nurseries to suit their own style. Traditional themes that are still popular include: animals, sports, cowboys, favorite storybook characters, and monochromatic decor (everything pink or everything blue). Some other hip moms are choosing funky colors, designer fabrics, retro-style or vintage items, and unique items with large impact such as round cribs or wall-size murals.
